A Short Review Of iPhone XR

The iPhones come with scary price tags. In this scenario, you may wonder if there could be a way to get an iPhone without breaking the bank. Well, you can consider purchasing an iPhone XR. It’s the iPhone and it is exactly what you look for when you want a premium iPhone in affordable price.

With iPhone XR, you can expect 95% of the iPhone XS performance at 75% of the iPhone XS cost. The reason we say 95% of the XS performance is that there are some compromises. The screen and camera take a step back from the iPhone XR. The main feature that you might miss in the iPhone XR after using an iPhone XS is the rear telephoto lens.

You may be surprised here that iPhone XR actually has some improvements over iPhone XS. IPhone XR has a bigger screen (6.1 inches) as compared to iPhone XS screen (5.8 inches). And another very prominent feature of iPhone XR is that it has the best battery life as compared to all of the iPhones.

Now, we are going to mention some salient features of iPhone XR.

Camera

IPhones are known to have best mobile phone cameras. The primary rear lens on the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max is the same. All three phones have TrueDepth front camera. The rear single wide-angle lens camera is the same which is present in the iPhone XS and XS Max. So, the smart HDR shots and regular photos are the same.

The major difference to talk about is that this phone doesn’t have the rear telephoto lens which is present in the iPhone XS and XS Max. Without this lens, the iPhone XR doesn’t have the 2X optical zoom.  So, you are not going to like this absence of telephoto lens if you like to take close shots.

Size of the phone

The bigger phones have bigger screens which make the screen view quite amazing. However, there are many people who do not like to have bigger phones because it is simply difficult to hold bigger phones and put them in the pockets.

If you look at the iPhone XS and XS max, you will find a substantial difference between the sizes of the both. IPhone XS is too small to be regarded as an iPhone XS, while iPhone XS Max is quite bigger. IPhone XR, on the other hand is neither too big like iPhone XS Max not as small as iPhone XS. It has a 6.1-inch screen which looks quite amazing.

Display

The screen of the iPhone XR is bigger than that of the iPhone XS and smaller than that of iPhone XS Max. But that’s not the difference to talk about. The major difference is that it has LCD while iPhone XS and XS Max have OLED screens. That’s where the phone might look a bit downgraded but the matter of fact is that you are hardly going to find any major difference from the perspective of display quality.

IPhone XR technically has lower screen resolution as compared to iPhone XS. IPhone XS comes with a screen resolution of 2,436x1,125‑pixel resolution at 458 ppi while iPhone XR has a screen resolution of 1,792x828-pixel resolution at 326 ppi.
